As part of Syyn Labs, I co-directed this landmark music video for OK GO, along with James Frost and members of the band.

In addition to working on several of the physical contraptions, I created animatics for timing purposes, floorplans that allowed quick re-structuring of the machine, planned camera paths and viewing angles, and came up with a number of systemic approaches for achieving optimal machine/music synchronization.

I also hand painted the kabuki screens at 2:30, and worked dozens of hours on a skateboard-through-a-tire gag that failed to launch on the selected take (at 1:10 in the video). It will haunt me till the end of days.
